Cameron Townsend committed his life to Scripture translation after realizing that many minority language groups in Guatemala could not read the Spanish Bibles he was trying to distribute. He founded Wycliffe Bible Translators in 1942. Today, Wycliffe Bible Translators is committed to seeing a Scripture translation in progress for every language still needing one so that all peoples will have the opportunity to know Christ and have access to God's word.
Cameron Townsend also founded JAARS in 1948 to make Bible translation and language development possible, especially in the most remote and difficult places on earth. We will be working at their headquarters in Waxhaw, NC to help prepare people and aircraft for overseas service. Rachael will fly for Missions at the Airport, raising awareness of the continued need for Bible translation and how aviation makes a difference. Dan will be working in the hangar to prepare aircraft for use around the world.
We use aviation to take the Gospel faster and farther.
